the russian team Chekovskie Medvedi is the first team in a semifinal ever in Champions League. And, to tell the truth they really looked like a rookie when they met FC Barcelona Borges Saturday afternoon in Lanxess Arena in Cologne.
With the possibillity to set pressure on the spanish team the russians didn’t finish their fastbreaks. The result was playing several attacks established and often had to play under pressure of passive play warning from the referees.
– FC Barcelona had a good defence and our players was not good in the attack, Chekhovskie Medvedi coach Vladimir Maximov commented after the loss against the spanish team.
In the second period the russians seemed to had found their way to play against Barcelona, but after some good attacks with handball at a high level it was not enough. Barcelona kept the machinery going and it all ended in a good seven goals victory.
