Karl Erik Bøhn: If we play our best, we will win against Valcea

Undefeated Larvik HK is one of the favorites to go all the way in Champions League this season. And, so far they’ve met the expectations with victory against both the french team Toulon and the danish team Randers

In France the norwegians didn’t play their best, but went home with 31-28 and two points in the opening match of Champions League.

Last weekend Randers visited Larvik and after, surprisingly, defeating Otlchim Valcea in Denmark there was some expectations that the danish team could give the norwegians a good match.
But, Larvik was too strong and had settled the match before half time.

Stronger opponents
Oltchim Valcea reached the final last year where they had to stand down for Viborg. And, even if Oltchim Valcea lost their first match against Randers the romanians it a much stronger opponent than any team before this season seen with the norwegian eyes.

Even if the headcoach, Karl Erik Bøhn, is aware of Oltchim Valcea is a good team, and they lost their first match, is he strong in his believe that Larvik is going to win the match in Arena Larvik on Saturday.

– If we play our best, we will win against Valcea, Karl Erik Bøhn could tell Timeout Magazine.

The Larvik coach has the recipe ready of how to defeat the romanian team, and reveals some to Timeout Magazine.

– We must rely on our defense and be very fatal there. And we have to be on the alert when we have the chance to go for fastbreaks. The romanian team is not known for being good to run home.

Oltchim Valcea – one of the best teams in Europe

Ionela Stanca, one of the most experienced on the Romanian team, has a strong belive in that her team can defeat Larvik on Saturday. In an interview with EHF she tells that she is sure that they will win the match on Saturday.

-According to the first two matches, Larvik is the best team in this group. However, there are still four matches to be played and a lot can change. Even if we started with a loss, Oltchim is still one of the best teams in Europe. The EHF Champions League is not the right place to search for weak teams, therefore the table could be subject to several adjustments right up to the last games.
