Ole Gustav Gjekstad new headcoach in Larvik HK

Larvik HK, who recently won the Champions League, have now presented their new headcoach and chief of sports, Ole Gustav Gjekstad.

It’s not the first time Ole Gustav Gjekstad is headcoach in Larvik HK. From 1998 to 2005 he had his period in Larvik HK before he went to Drammen HK (Norwegian mens league) for a couple of seasons, before he again returned to Larvik.

– I support the decision of the club 100%, Larvik HK’s Tonje Larsen tell in a pressrelease from Larvik HK.

– Ole is prefectionist and very into details, details that can be the crcial to reach the success we want to reach in the future as well. His practises hase been very good and motivating, and he’s going to be a great leader for our sporting team. We already look forward to next season, Tonje Larsen declares.

Hard to convince

– We’ve believed that we had the best candidate for the head coach job in Ole Gustav Gjekstad. The challenge was to convince him to believe the same. We’ve now succeeded with that, and are sure we’ve got the best solution the club could get, Larvik HK’s managing director, Bjørn Gunnar Bruun-Hansen tells.

– I look forward to working with all parties involved in Larvik Handball Club. Of course, the main focus is to develop team and individual players, and to contribute to achieving the club’s lofty goals. But both on and off thepitch , we have skilled staff and volunteers ,and the organization has never been stronger than now . It makes me confident that we have a good future ahead of us, said Ole Gustav Gjekstad.
