The Turkish national team corrected its status in Europe´s beach handball elite and won over Greece in two sets.
Greece have improved a lot to their early performances, but it was not enough to beat the strong Turkish team that collected two important points in fight for the race to the next stage. They felt very unlucky in the first period where they were dominating the set.
After being unlucky and having lost against tall Russians earlier today, Turkey made a good game and won both sets, though it was not the most impressive performance their coach Erkan Kahraman await from his team. They need to improve if they want to reach their target, the final at the European Beach Handball Championship in Umag.
Emin Halac, player of Turkey: “In the morning we were very unlucky against Russia, we had a long traveling day yesterday and we arrived very tired. In Turkey we had a long and strict two weeks preparation. Being the bronze medal winner of the World Championship we aim for the final in this tournament.”
