Amazing game on Court 2 in Umag! Norway turn a “lost” match and win in shoot-out against the soafr dominating Turkish team.
For a long time it looked like Norway would have no chance in the game against Turkey, as the Turkish boys clearly dominated and won the first set.
In the second period it was again Turkey in good advantage, but Norway started a great march and with a last second double point goal by right winger Edwin Fjeldtwedt the Norwegians made the equalizer and went for the golden goal.
In the throw-off the Norwegians caught the ball, scored, so a shoot-out decided about the winner.
In the shoot-out the Turkish players lost their nerves, missed several times, Norway remained focused and made an unbelievable way back to victory.
Jan Andre Sagmo, player of Denmark: “It was a great game, and the key to success was our calmness. We´ve expected a tough game and we´re glad we won.”
Emin Halac, player of Turkey: “That´s beach handball, once you´re on top, once on the bottom. Hopefully next time we´ll have more luck.”
