Ukraine fought hard as a lion, but the Norwegian ladies were the luckier and celebrated a 2-0 victory.
The Scandinavians were aiming to cure the loss they have suffered yesterday in their evening match against Denmark and so they´ve started with top fighting spirit and as in their previous games they have dominated and won the first period.
Ukraine with only one loss so far in the tournament gave their best in the second period, an equal game developed with the east Europeans being in front and Norway going for equalizer.
30 seconds before the end Ukraine were in front with one point, took the time out, had the ball, but missed on attack and as the Norwegians scored in the dying seconds, the Scandinavians celebrated a 2-0 victory.
Cathrine Korvald, player of Norway: “We made a good analysis on the opponent, were expecting a tough match. We were superior in the first half, but had our fluctuations in the second set. I don´t know why it happens, but we´ll have to work on it hard for our future games.”
