The home team of Croatia had no problems in beating Denmark, so the Scandinavians are without points, whilst the organizers have maximum points.
Whilst the first set was a face-to-face game with the lead changing hands several times and with Croatia winning it, the second set was clearly dominated by the organizers, who had a storming beginning and led after a few minutes by 9-0 forcing the Danish coach for time out.
It seemed to help a bit, as the Danish players started to score again, but Croatia found their rhythm back and they Ivan Juric and his team-mates had no problems winning the second period. (20-11)
Simon Radoor Sörensen, player of Denmark: “We knew that it´ll be a tough match, and we knew that our chance is winning one set. We defeated Croatia in a previous tournament, they are a strong opponent. We had our best half in the first set, player extraordinary, but lost. That had some effect on our play in the second period. I must admit Croatia is a great team.”
