Denmark is participating with a young team in this tournament, with a lot of debutants like goalkeepers Greve and Lundsby. Danes showed a solid defence and fast counter attacks as well, but goalkeeper Cecilie Greve could be also remarked. France has arrived to Aarhus with an almost complete team, without Leynaud (injured) and Tervel (taking a break), so the result of half time could be called a surprise: 15-13.

In the second part of the match the young Danish team has continued the same handball and Frenchs could not come closer.Final result: 32-27.
