András Németh, coach of Hypo:
” We were preparing since last year for this match, then we were in the same groupe also with Randers. I am very satisfied with this victory. The team showed a really good performance, we played a good handball, both in defence and in attack, as we prepared. Masson has got a red card, but I don’t think that this had really influenced the game, because the other goalkeeper of the opponent had a good saving procent as well. Today we were the better team, so this difference is real in my opinion. Our play with lot of movements and passes was succesfull and that’s why we’ve got the victory.”
One of the best players of the match, Hungarian Bernadett Temes said:
” It was a key-moment when the goalkeeper of the opponent, Chana Masson had been excluded with red card. My team-mates became much more relaxed after this and we could play a good handball. Every player did its best on the court we helped each other in every situation, played like a team. I had also some mistakes, but I played well, scored and I am satisfied with that. I hope that I will continue that in the next matches also.”
Barbara Arenhart, Hypo’s goalkeeper is analyzing the match:
“We have prepared a lot for this game, we knew that we must win today if we want to qualify to the next round, so everybody was working for this. Today I could also help my team with my saves and I am glad that we won like a real team.”
Randers HK’s line player, Swedish Ulrika Ågren said about the match:
“We haven’t played any handball in the first half, we did a lot of mistakes and that is not the way how to win a match like that. We had a bad defence, couldn’t managed to stop them, so they had always a situation to score. In the second half we moved much more and then came our scoring chances too, but unfortunatelly it was not enough. Our goalkeeper’s red card had a bad influence on us, we tried to give more, every of us, but was not good enough for a victory. I hope that on home-court in Randers we will win.”
