
Before the match, coach of Hungarian team, Ambros Martin said:
“We are facing a really strong team tonight and I am sure, that we have to reach at least the same level as last weekend to defeat the Krim. We had some injury-troubles this week with some of the players, but everybody is ready to the game. We want to win.”
The first ten minutes of the first half was a balanced fight, where hosts’s defence was unorganized in the start, so the result was tight, from 1-0,2-3, 5-5, 7-7. ETO took an advantage at 8-7, Katrine Lunde Haraldsen was outstanding in the goal, defence became stronger, and they were scoring easy goals on fast -breaks. The unstopable Radicevic scored four times, but Lekic, Amorim, Orban and Gorbicz has also netted the Slovenians goal. Coach Tiselj tried to change the goalkeepers, but neither Grubisic or Kain could not compete with Haraldsen. Half time result:16-9.
Second half started with an overwhelming Győr-performance, increasing the gap to 19-11, by scorings of Radicevic, Lekic and Tervel. The evolution of the result has not brought many changes, and host had a lead at 24-15 , fiftheen minutes before the end. Tone Tiselj’s team made a last effort, trying to reduce the gap, Torstensson, Wörz and Mavsar scored, setting the final score to 29-22.
