Bitter defeat for Hypo on home-court

Today afternoon Hypo NÖ met on home-court the Romanian star- team from Valcea. As an outsider, Hypo had nothing to lose, only had to try to perform on there really level. Romanian team wanted to win, they set a goal: finishing the group stage without lost points.

In th first part of the match the two teams had been very close, the score was balanced. The home team failed to transform three  7 meter- penalties( Do Nascimento, Temes, Rodriquez), Valcea as well missed two penalties (Bulatovic). In 9. minute score was 4-4, after this guests took the lead, 5-7, 7-9, 8-12, 10-13, Deonise Cavaleiro and Katarina Bulatovic was unstopable on the two sides. Half time: 11-14.

The second part has brought a  three goals lead to Valcea, 12-15, after five played minutes, but Hypo shook itself and made an amazing come-back. Austirna team has equalised by 16-16, took the lead some minutes later by 17-16 and managed to increase the gap to 21-19. But Valcea had not given up, equalised at 24-24, and won the match. Final result: 24-25.

Topscorers: Deonise Cavaleiro (Hypo NÖ) 8 goals and Katarina Bulatovic (Oltchim Valcea) 10 goals.

Result: Hypo NÖ- Oltchim Valcea 24-25(12-14)
