Buducnost undefeated on home-court, Viborg out from European cups

In Arena Moraca from Podgorica the local team, Buducnost met Danish Viborg HK in the last match of the Group.

After knewing the result of the previous match between Thüringer and Zvezda, where Zvezda defeated the German team at away-court, there was no tension before this match, because Buducnost has won already the second qualification berth in the group.

The match was a fight for honour from Viborg’s side and a possibility fro Buducnost to keep their “unbeaten”status at home-court. At Viborg, team- captain Marit Malm Frafjord was back from injury, Buducnost was missing Dragana Cvijic and Geordjevksa.

First half was tight, 6-5, 10-8 and half time result 11-10. In the second part Buducnost managed to keep the advantage and has increased the gap. Led by Milena Knezevic the CL title-holder defeated Viborg, final result: 26-23.

Topscorers: Milena Knezevic (Buducnost) 9 goals and Rikke Skov (Viborg HK) 5 goals

Result: Buducnost Podgorica- Viborg HK  26-23 (11-10)
