Savehof defeated CWC participant Dinamo Volgograd

IK Savehof have played as guest in the telt-hall in Volgograd, the match beeing very important, regarding to decide the CWC participation of one of the teams. Dinamo Volgograd had collected the two points in Göteborg some weeks ago, result was 28-34 for Russians.Russian team has continued to  play without Anna Sedoykina, Anna Kochetova and Olga Levina, all of them taking a break from handball in the first part of the season.

In a very tight and balanced first half, Swedish girls managed to collect a slight advantage , result  before the break beeing  12-13.

The second half seemed to be the same tight one, this beeing showed by the evolution of thecorealso: 13-13, 14-16, 18-18, 20-20, 21-23. Guests managed to take the lead againg and increase the gap,22-26, seven minutes left of the game. IS Savehof has tried to accelerate the game and win with a bigger gap, needing 7 goals to reach the CWC. Final result: 25-30, IK Savehof collecting theirs first points in CL.


Topscorers: Viktoria Borschenko (Dinamo Volgograd) 6 goals and Ida Odéhn (IK Savehof) 9 goals


Result: Dinamo Volgograd- IK Savehof (12-13)
