Zvezda moved to CL-spring,Thüringer in CWC

The match between THC and Zvezda Zvenigorod in Germany should have decide the winner of the group D, but it could be easy a very twisted  situation if hosts could defeat the Russian team by eight goals. Than Buducnost also would have been in a difficult situation before tonight’s game against Viborg.

But the team prepared by Zdravko Zovko did not want to have  reasons to excitment or mathematics, so they opened by 1-7, has continued by 3-10, 6-11, finishing the first half at 7-13.

The second part of the match had been a more balanced fight,13-17, after nine playing minutes and 17-18, then 19-19 about ten minutes before the end.  But Thüringer hadn’t have the power to get a victory against an outstanding Sidorova in the goal and Zvezda collected the two points and the first qualification berth in this group. Final result: 20-23.

Topscorers: Ludmila Postnova (Zvezda Zvenigorod) 7 goals and Lidia Jakubisova-KerstinWohlbold (THC) 5-5 goals

Result: Thüringer HC-Zvzeda Zvenigorod 20-23 (7-13)
