Hungary’s head coach, Karl Erik Bøhn has announced today the list of 19 players who will start the preparation to the upcomming ECh in Serbia.
The Hungarian national team will participate in a preperation tournament in Ukraine with teams like: Ukraine, Russia,
Macedonia, Netherland and Czech Republic. The tournament is called Turchin-cup and will take place in the upcoming weekend.
Three players from the large squad are injured: Szandra Zácsik has been operated with a shoulder injury, Krisztina Trischuk is in recovery after a leg-injury and Anita Cifra has a shoulder injury too, which will be treated. The last two players have chances to catch the ECh.
Karl Erik Bøhn shared his thoughts about the preparation and the tournament:
” We will start our preparation in a tournament where the result won’t be the most important issue. We would like to form the team, getting in a good shape to the Europeans. Ukraine and Macedonia will be two good opponents in a preparation period, where on the first place will be the restitution of the players. All the players are after a hard period, in the Hungarian League and a lot of CL and European cup games.
We also hope that Trischuk and Cifra will be healthy and ready for the ECh, if not we have to find some substitutes, but all in its time.
Our group at ECh is a very balanced one, where every team can defeat every of the opponents. The same is valid to my team, if we are in a good shape, we can defeat Croatia, Germany or Spain also, but the opposite of this can happen too.”
