France won Möbelringen-Cup in Bergen

Last day in Bergen, Möbelringen- Cup Norway met France. The French team has defeated earlier in the tournament both Sweden and Denmark, so Norway had a difficult job. Team captain Marit MalmFrafjord had birthday today, she is 27 years old.

The first half of the game has brought a tough Norwegian defence, where Frafjord, Borgersen, Alstad had a great performance, steeling a lot of balls from the opponent. Anja Edin and Riegelhuth-Koren scored important goals, and Heidi Löke worked well on the line. France had problems with goalkeeping and could’t find the rhythm of the game. Half time: 14-9.

The second part of the match showed  a complet opposite picture, French’s defence became tougher and in attack they showed a better backplayer play as well,coring fromlong ditance shoots by Lacrabére, Pineau and Gnabouyou.  Norway’s defence became much more unorganised, Frafjord got a hit in her shoulder, so coulnd’t play in the second part, her team couldn’t score, making a lot of simple technical mistakes and France won by one goal. Result: 22-23.

Result: Norway- France 22-23 (9-14)

Topscorers: Linn Kristin Riegelhuth-Koren (Norway) 5 goals and Paule Baudoin (France) 6 goals
