Timeoutmagazin talked with head-coah of Hungary, Karl-Erik Bøhn, on his way home from Kiev, Ukraine, where his team won the tournament and  goalkeeper Orsolya Herr has got the prize for the “Best goalkeeper”.

timeoutmag.com: Have you seen some improvment at your team? Defence or attack has worked out better in this tournament?

Bøhn: The team are improving with each training and match. We can say that we have grown both in defence and attack. My players had a very great mentality, their attitude to do things, the willingnes to work hard impressed me once again. Iam very grateful to be able to work with tem!

timeoutmag.com: Did you get some answers for those positions you haven’t chosen yet the players to the final squad?

Bøhn: Yes, I have the answers, for all positions, but this is the most difficult part of my job. We have many quality-players in Hungary, but unfortunatelly is not possible to take all of my players to the ECh. I know that is very unfair, but I will disappoint some of the players, who has to be home. The squad has  limited places, we can take only 16 players, these are the rules. The squad will be announced on Thursday, 11 o’clock.

timeoutmag.com: The first match at ECh, Hungary will play against Croatia. This opponent will be present without their big names: Tatari, Penezic, Horvat, Pusic, Gace won’t play in Serbia. What do you mean about your opening game against  the Croatians?

Böhn: They have many good players, but at ECh we have to defeat them. This first match is the most important, I would say decisive, regarding to qualification to the Main Round. If we win, that will give confidence. This is a very balanced group, but we can move to the next round having some points also. We can defeat every team on our best day.

Germany is a tough opponent, but we have ambitions to defeat them too.

Spain, which in my opininon is one of the favourites to win the ECh will get a tough resistance from our side.

I also hope that the players, who are recovering from their injuries, Anita Cifra and Krisztina Trischuk will be healthy at the start of ECh.

Team of  Hungary will travel on 3th December to Novi Sad in Serbia, but before that they will play a preparation match, against Brasil.
