Turchin-cup goes to Hungary!

The preparation tournament before EURO 2012 in Serbia, called Turchin-cup, organized in Kiev, Ukraine has continued on Sunday morning with the final of the tournament.

The six participants team: Russia, Netherland, Czhechia, Macedonia, Ukraine and  Hungary was divided in two groups of three teams (Groupa A: Russia, Netherland, Tchekhia, group B: Hungary, Ukraine, Macedonia).

On Sunday morning 9.30, the first match was the “final” of the tournament, and has brough a fight between the two group-winners: Netherland and Hungary.

The national team of Hungary, led by Norwegian head-coach Karl Erik Böhn defeated Netherland, finishing the tournament on first place and this way taking the Turchin-cup.

Result: NETHERLAND-HUNGARY 22-29 (10-17)

 

Topscorers:  Jessy Kramer and  Danick Snelder  (Netherland) 4 goals each and Anita Görbicz (Hungary) 6 goals

 

The bronze final and the match for 5-6.place will be played later today.
