In Group A were scheduled tonight two matches.

In the first one Norway met Ukraine in a match without no pressure. Despite this Ukraine gave a good resistance against Scandinavians, led by four, 10-14 in the second half, in a match with a low numbers of goals.

Silje Solberg has started in the Norwegian goal, Katrine Lunde changed her only in the 45th minute, when Ukraine had a substantial lead. Lunde closed the goal, her saving percent stoping somewhere about 60%, and with this her team defeated Ukraine by 18-17.

Result: Norway-Ukraine 18-17 (8-11)

Topscorers: Linn J. Sulland (Norway) 6 goals and Viktoria Borschenko (Ukraine) 4 goals
