Just like in their Preliminary Phase matches, the Czech Republic had a storming start in the first half leading by 2:0.
The young Danish team quickly leveled the score through its most useful weapon, the counter attack.
Pytlick´s team first time led by 3:2 and the two teams stayed for minutes on eye level, Denmark staying in front and the brave Czech girls remaining close.
A little failure in concentration allow the Scandinavians to move on by three goals (8:11), but the surprise team of the tournament Czech Republic closed the game and leveled the score with three straight goals.
The last seven minutes of the first half brought great fight from both sides with Denmark heading to the dressing room by a single goal advantage.
This tiny lead didn´t hold long, as the Czechs started the second period with extra motivation and turned the result in the 38th minute (19:18).
Denmark´s experienced Ann Grete Nörgaard was responsible for her side´s great catch up phase, whilst Danish keeper Sandra Toft produced several heroics in the Scandinavian goal.
This improved performance resulted in a 23:20 Danish lead after 45 minutes and a Czech time out.
Despite a one minute intermission, Denmark kept their heads cool and in attack Pytlick´s team remained calm and focused, finding holes in the Czech defense.
The eastern Europeans were unable to come closer, but again showed that they´re not far from the top teams.
With the final result of 30:33, Denmark now have four points in their account, whilst the Czech Republic is still without points in the Main Round.
