Spanish backplayer, Nerea Pena talked to timeoutmag.com after the defeat against Montenegro:
” We had a disastrous championship, everything went wrong, our play didn’t work at all and we were down mentally too.
In this match we had some up and down periods, we could get the tie and take the lead, but in the second half we had an almost twenty minutes period without scoring, which was decisive.
I hit the floor very unlucky in the first half and my knee is injured, but I think is not serious.”
Jovanka Radicevic, the Montenegrin right winger is very confident that her team will reach the final:
” Right now I am very happy, it”s hard to speak, because of my emotions. we have a good team, and today we have fought, after we were down, took the control over the match in the second half and defeated a very strong Spanish team.
I don’t know which team will qualify to the semifinal from the other group, but sincerely it’s not very important. Our defense is very good, everybody is fighting and if we keeps the discipline in attack then nobody can stop us.
We had a though year, at the clubs and Olympics, we have a young team, important players retired from the team, so it is big to be in a semifinal again.”
