Second match of the last day in Main Round hosts Serbia met one of the favorites, France. France have not had a good championship so far, but still have chances to reach the semifinals.

Serbia, supported by the crowd made an excellent first half, tough defense and scoring enough to have a four goals lead. France managed to score only six times in thirty minutes, very poor performance in attack. Half time: 10-6.

In the second part of the match the play was very similar, focused on defence and good goalkeeper performance.

Katarina Tomasevic, Serbian goalkeeper had 50% saving percent and in the field her team-mates has fought to keep the advantage. Big disappointment for France, team which came to Serbia to win a medal. Final result: 18-17.


Result: Serbia- France 18-17(10-6)
