After the match for 5-6.th places between Denmark and Russia, won by Denmark 32-30 players and head coaches of the two teams has given their statements:
Jan Pytlick, the head-coach of Denmark:
“I’m very satisfied with the victory. To us it was very important to win, despite that this 5th place is worth nothing (press from Denmark said that yesterday), but for my team it was really important to finish this tournament with a victory.
We are building a new team, these girls are very young and I think that we are on the right way.”
Sandra Toft, goalkeeper of Denmark:
” I am glad that we won today, and with a little bit of luck we could also be in the semifinals. Our young team did well here in Serbia and I am convinced that next year we will play semifinals.”
Vitalij Krokhin, head-coach of Russia:
“We had some good games here in Serbia, but we didn’t have luck and enough experience. My players are coming from different clubs, not like before, that had influenced the play of the team, before it was always a team with the players from the national team.
We have a lot of work to do, but I sure we will improve until to the next championship.”
