Zsuzsanna Tomori, Hungarian backplayer has been awarded as ” The best player of the match” in the bronse-final at EURO 2012 Serbia, scoring eight times and having a high-level defence.

Hungary has defeated hosts form Serbia, with 41-38, winning the bronse medals and the 3rd place of the ECh.

About the match:

” I am very happy, that eventually we managed to win the medals in a such a close and exciting fight, against the hosts from Serbia, who were supported by many thousands of fans, the arena was almost in fire.

In the extra time they head the lead, but our fantastic team rose up again and get the wanted medals in an incendiary game, where everything was decided in the last minutes of the extra times.

At 33-33, Serbia has a mentally advantage, but we believed in us, in our team, and managed to get the tie, than take the lead and increase the gap to two, then to three by Szeki (Klára Szekeres), who made a perfect match today. ”

About the European Championship:

”  This tournament was like a roller-coaster for us, we had a fantastic games and very bad ones as well. But we always played for each other, and worked as a team.

After this match I said that this game actually characterized very properly these two weeks here is Serbia. By starting badly, then coming back strong and winning the match by an incredible mental strength and team-spirit.”

About the team:

” We had a very good time together and we became a TEAM. Incredible fighting spirit, team-spirit and playing, thinking for each other- this made us invincible in the decisive, crucial situations.

We are aware also of the fact that we could do better than this, and we will do everything to reach higher than this.

Right now is celebrating, after that work again.”
