Main Round, GroupII
Krim Ljubjlana-Oltchim Rm.Valcea 28-24 (13-10)
After last weekend’s failure it was a big question whether Romanian top team can make the fiasco forgotten or they will continue to play weak and without meaning.
Tonight we got the answers to these questions in match, where Oltchim was in lead only in the first 4-5 minutes of the match, 1-2, 1-3, 4-5, after this period showing the same “performance” like last week against FTC, when they had been defeated on home court.
Tonje Tiselj’s team had an organised defense, with well performing shooters, Penezic and Varlec- Lazovic netting several times, none of Romanian goakeepers could perform on a high level against them. Krim won the first half by 13-10.
In the second half there was no doubt which team wants more the victory, which team is more ambitious and united. Krim has followed the advices of their coach, Penezic had scored 11 goals in this match, Grubisic had important saves in key-situations and even Dani Piedade has made a good match on the line, scoring three. Oltchim had only one player to remark, Katarina Bulatovic scoring nine goals, was not enough to get point(s) from Slovenia. Final result: 28-24.
Topscorers: AndreaPenezic (Krim) 11 goals and Katarina Bulatovic (Oltchim) 9 goals
