Hungarian League’s derby was played on Wednesday afternoon in Budapest, in Elek Gyula Sportshall, where FTC Rail Cargo Hungaria met Győri Audi ETO KC .

Hosts are preparing for their next CL match, which is a decisive one, against Romanians from Oltchim, regarding the qualification to the semifinals of CL.

Today’s game has brought a close and balanced match, a real derby where excitement was high to the end of the game.

Győr could not control the game as they are used to do, Tomori was outstanding for FTC and an outsold arena, full of vociferous fans helped both team to follow each other  and to offer an unforgettable spectacle.

A frightening moment has stopped the match for more minutes when a local fan fall from the stands right to the Győr’s bench, landing on a …sitting player, left winger Ivett Szepesi, who has suffered a minor back injury when the 80-90 kg man fall over her. Fortunately the problem and the injury was not so serious, but the security of some Hungarian halls is not acceptable.

Anita Görbicz: ” We came here to win the match, but we could not control the game today, our defense was not tough enough, goalkeepers could not help us either. I am happy that nobody got injured today, both teams having important matches in CL this weekend. FTC had a two goals advantage, but I am happy that we have managed to get the draw at the end.”

Katrine Lunde: ”  We made a weak game, where defense and goalkeeper performance was not at a high level, but we played an acceptable attack. We are looking forward to the next CL matches.”

Zsuzsanna Tomori: ” It was a good match, I am happy that we could play without any pressure and has got this draw. It was a difficult match but I believe that this result could lift us mentally after the defeat suffered in Ljubljana and will give us energies to the game against Valcea this weekend. If we defeat Oltchim, we are in CL semifinals and this is our dream.”
