Oltchim and Ferencváros has played a match of life and death, on Saturday afternoon in Dabas. Romanians has arrived after weeks of scandals, because of unpaid salaries, players who wants to leave the club and negotiations. To the end, Ionela Stanca’s contract has been released by the club, and the line-player left the team. Oana Manea was the only player on this position, but the other players were all aware that this a decisive match to play.

Ferencváros has more injured players than any other team in CL, juniors and youngsters are sitting on the bench. Nera Pena is out with knee injury, Szandra Zácsik is doing her recovery after a shoulder operation and Dóra Deáki had also suffered a knee injury last week. In addition Zsuzsanna Tomori has got a virus infection, which used a lot of her energies. She played the first half, but after that coach Elek had to rest her.

First half was balanced, Tomori, Cifra, Szamoránszky has scored and Abramovich had a good performance between the sticks, meanwhile Valcea does not seemed unvincible. Bulatovic, Manea and Managarova secured the goals and half time result was 15-15.

In the second half the match could be compared to a “David against Goliath “-issue, where Oltchim could replace every player from every position with another totally rested top player, on the other side, Hungarians had to play with exhausted players like Szucsánszki, Tomori or Szamoránsky and with youngsters like Dajka, Such and Szekerczés.

Valcea had no problems to take the lead, stop the Hungarian attacks and win this match, in order to keep alive their hopes to a semifinal.

Final result: 23-30.
