Oltchim Rm.Valcea was even in doubt if they can make the semifinals, until FTC was not undefeated in Russia. After Zvezda has defeated the Hungarian team, it was clear that beside Krim Ljubljana, the Romanian team is the fourth qualified team to the semifinals of the CL.

Today”s match, which was the last one on the Main Round of this season was a decisive one regarding the winner of the group II and which team will meet Győr or Larvik in the next stage.

The first half  brought a better start for Krim, they as in lead by 0-2. hosts managing to score their first goal after seven minutes, by Managarova. But after scoring, they equalised and took the lead, 6-3,7-4, Manea, Bradeanu, Farcau netting several times, meanwhile Navarro stopped the Slovenian shoots.

Tone Tislej called his timeout in 18,minute of the match and Krim reduced the gap, got the draw and took the lead again. Oltchim seemed to be blocked afte 20,minute of the game, Bulatovic has not scored at all,.

The opponent had found some new dimensions of the game when Andrea Penezic has scored her first (goal 26.min) and Krim has won the first half. Half time: 9-12.

In the second half the game was very incendiary at some points, close, balanced and we could see two teams set on fire. Guests had a four goals advantage, 10-14, but Oltchim fought and made an impressive comeback to the match, with help of an outstanding Paula Ungureanu in the goal and  a shining Ramona Farcau. 16-16, minute 42.after this draw Oltchim took the lead again,19-16, 21-17 (this result could help them to get the first place in the group), but hosts managed to score, especially Penezic and Varlec-Lazovic, Grubisic has saved two 7 meter penalties and Oltchim defeated Krim, but could not take the lead in the group. Final result: 23-20
