Karl Erik Bøhn’s health condition improved!

After Norwegian press information and information from the near friends of Karl Erik Bøhn, we can inform all of you who are worried about the Norwegian handball-coach’s health condition, that he is much better right now, after a long period when  he was in coma.

Karl Erik Bøhn’s illness was discovered on the beginning of February 2013, with the diagnosis acute myeloid leukemia, and the treatment was started immediately in Oslo. He interrupted his activity as of Hungary women national team, to be able to start the treatments,

The first type of the chemotherapy treatment seemed to not have the expected effect, so the trainer got a pneumonia and must be hold in coma to make easier for his body the next treatment-series. After he was treated with another type of chemotherapy his organism responded well and now the results are much better.

Bøhn is continuing  to breath with respirator, but he is awake, can communicate with those beeing around.

There is long way to go again, but doctors and patient believe in the best outcome.

Karl Erik Böhn is supported by his very close friends  Tord Ellingsen, Kjetil Kristoffersen , Erik Storhaug and Tom Reidar Haraldsen and two handball nations, Norway and Hungary.
