
Friday afternoon, Round 2 of CL has started in Skopje. Last seasons runner up, Larvik HK arrived to Macedonia, to try themselves against the new bought Macedonian star-team.
From Larvik’s team, Cecilie Leganger is out due to an Achilles-tendon injury for a longer period, Tonje Larsen is also injured, Linn J.Sulland is struggling with minor injuries, and lineplayer Isabel Blanco has got injured in the last days on her left hand, so she was able to play only in the offensive phase.
Hosts lined the full team, but the match was started better by Larvik 1-4, 4-6. Vardar managed to get the draw at 6-6 and they took the lead at 7-6, but Larvik led by Nora Mörk won the first half: 12-15.
In the second part of the game Vardar made a better start, despite this, Larvik kept the advantage, and increased the gap to 17-22, 41, minute. Then hosts showed an ambitious come-back, and ten minutes later they took the lead at 24-23. Lekic, Radicevic and Maja Zebic were the main actors to reverse the handicap.
The earlier injured Nora Mörk was back to the court, and she has scored the last two goals of her team, making possible fro Larvik HK taking an important point from Skopje, by netting in the dying seconds of the game for 27-27.
