Jan Pytlick about the group:

“I see our group as very strong, with Ukraine, Austria and ourselves battling for the two places in the final tournament. Ukraine are very strong, but it does not really matter, whether we finish first or second in the group. What matters is that we simply have to qualify and I am convinced that we will.”

Austria will also be strengthened by lineplayer Simona Spiridon (Hypo NÖ) as Stefanie Kaiser is injured, and young player, Kristina Logvin (daughter of Tanja Logvin), who will replace Viki Mauler in the squad, not able to play.
