Ambros Martin (Győri Audi ETO KC), head-coach:

“We had to play a though match today, we were prepared for it.

Our injured players were replaced well by the team, and we made a good team-work today.

In the dying minutes the game was very close, I think that my team became tired and the opponent could score some fast goals, but our experience and willing to fight was enough to get the two points here.”

Ágnes Hornyák (Győri Audi ETO KC):

About the match

” I am really happy that we won today and we could realize almost everything we planned. Personally I made a good game and I am satisfied with that.

Today I had more roles to fill, first of all I had to play in the leftback position and in defense, because Eduarda Amorim’s injury, and I also tried to run when we got the ball, like Heidi use to do, and score some goals on counterattack.

Today we got the victory because we made a real team-work, I am proud of my team.”

About the upcoming WCh in Serbia

” I am in the large squad but is there little chances to play in Serbia. My sport-shape would permit it, but I think that the head-coach will take players who already knows each other well from the last tournaments. I was not at the national team for more than three years and this is a handicap, regarding the team’s compactness.”

Simona Spiridon (Hypo NÖ):

” I am very sad because we didn’t had to lose this match. The circumstances gave us chances even to get the victory here, but unfortunately we made silly mistakes, which is not allowed if you want to win a match like that.

We missed a lot of hundred percent chances, we could not put the ball behind  Katrine Lunde, we need more concentration.

I am aware that HCM Baia Mare has defeatedThüringer HC, now we had to be very sharp in our game next week in Germany, to be able to qualify to the Main Round.

Today victory was taken by the team which had more will to fight.”
