” We were aware of the fact that this will be a difficult game for us, and we also knew that Woltering is a very good goalkeeper. If she saves some shoots, than she is unstoppable. We made a lot of mistakes in clear situations, and we missed many penalties. Our mistakes let the opponent to score and win this match.

We had some better periods in this match, both in defense and attack, we have analyzed the German backplayers, but our defense was very passive against them. Despite this we missed the match in our attack, making too many mistakes.

We are looking forward to the next match, this was a lost game, but the qualification is not. We are preparing against Hungary and hope to make a better game.”

Aurelia Bradeanu (Romania), backplayer:

”  This defeat occurred  due to our technical mistakes,  we played very eagerly, missed many penalties and we were always under with some goals, trying to reach the opponent.

Their backplayers made a very good match, we could not stop them, even if we knew how they are playing previously. Woltering caused us problems as well, we shoot weakly from seven meter.”

Gheorghe Tadici (Romania), head-coach

About the match:

“We managed to realize only partially what we have initially planned, we stopped them at the wings, where they are usually very efficient but could not neutralize their backplayers. We could not score in clear situations,  we missed a huge amount of shoots and we also missed six penalties, getting fast goals on counteraatck, right after this situation, four times.

We have to regenerate quickly, to prepare for the next games, needing at least one more victory. Against Hungary I hope that we can make a more accurate play, and to score when the chance  raises. “
