Clara Woltering (Germany) goalkeeper:

About the match

We knew tat this match will be a though one, we played a difficult game against a really good Hungarian team, they have played a very good attack, and we were aware of the fact that their defense is not so strong, but we missed a lot in attack, and the oppenent could run and score easy goals.

Usually we want to stop this, today we were weak in that part of the game, but the most important thing is that we managed to get the victory today.

Changes from second half

“In the second half we had to make some changes, like be more advanced in our defense, to stop the Hungarian backplayers, since they have really good shooters in every position. We managed with this tactical move, and we could score more goals and turn the result.

Last penalty for Hungary

“I was just thinking that two times earlier I could touch the ball, but I could not saved it, I was angry because of that, so I said that third time is mine. Of course I was lucky in this situation…

Orsolya Vérten (Hungary), left wing

About the match

“We could not make our defense to work, compared to yesterday’s match we got too many goals. Our attack was quiet good today, I think that in this part of game we improved a lot since yesterday.

We have to work and prepare for the next match.”

Heine Jensen (Germany), head-coach

” I am very happy and satisfied with our fifth victory in a row, I mean that we played a good game, but we had also our part of luck at the last penalty saved from Görbicz.

I am also glad that our very young team managed to win five games in the group, but we have to look forward to the next match, which will be the most important game of the WC, because is a knock-out match, and doesn’t mean anything these five victories if we can’t win the next game.

So the competition will start  from zero, it’s nice to win the fifth group match, but at the end of the day the next match will count the most.”

János Hajdu (Hungary), head-coach

“Today we made a good game, even if we could not win, this defeat means as much as a victory in my opinion.

Now the ost important match will follow, that’s why we came to the WCh, mostly to win in the eight-finals. Today’s game can help us a lot in the way to the next matches. Viki Soós has brought a lot of change, improvement in our game and our attack became more faster after her coming into the court. “
