Thüringer HC –  IK Savehof 30 – 25 (16 – 14)

Topscorers: Alexandrina Cabral Barbosa and Svenja Huber (THC) 6 goals each and Jenny Alm (IK Savehof) 8 goals

Thüringer HC, German champion hosted this afternoon Swedish champions from IK savehof, both teams still having real chances to reach the Final Four in Budapest, from May.

THC led by headcoach Herbert Müller has showed an impressive play both in attack and defense and they seemed to give no chance to the guests from Sweden.

Germans were leading 13-7 after twenty minutes, but ambitious Swedish girls fought back and reduced the gap, finishing the first half only with to goals behind.

Alexandrina Barbosa and Iveta Luzumova were the decisive players for hosts along with goalkeeper Maike Marz, on the other side Jamina Roberts and Jenny Alm were making the play. Half time: 16 – 14.

The second half started with a Swedish goal, and the guest were only one goal down, but THC decided to win this match, keeping the important two points home and once again Alexandrina Barbosa were outstanding, newcomer Svenja Huber scoring from penalty in a confident manner, and even if Swedish team managed to come closer during the game several times, they never managed to close the gap.

Home team won the game 30 –  25, and kept their chances alive regarding the qualification to the FF.
