Topscorers: Eduarda Amorim, Katarina Bulatovic 6 goals each, Anita Görbicz 5 goals (Győri Audi ETO KC) and Andrea Penezic 6 goals, Katarina Krpez 5 goals (Krim)

CL-title holder, Győri Audi ETO KC has met at their new home court last years semifinalist Krim Ljubljana. The Slovenian team is struggeling with huge economical problems fact which resulted in three of their players leaving the club (Torstenson, Martin and Vizitiu), and now their squad is smaller than at the beginning of the season, coach Tone Tislej having some challenges.

The match started with Slovenian leading, 1 – 3, but hosts took the lead at 5 – 3 (9.min). With Katarina Bulatovic and Eduarda Amorim shooting from distance, Krim was without chances, Győr was leading 10 – 6, 13 – 8 after 22 minutes. But after some mistakes of the hosts, Krim managed to  close the gap, 13 – 11, finishing the first half at 14 – 12.

In the second half of the game we could see the same tendencies, Győr playing below average, but keeping a small lead during all the match, Katrine Lunde not having a big day, behind a very average defense, meanwhile Jelena Grubisic saved even two seven meters against Görbicz.

Krim has fought but this was not enough, against a Győr, not showing very sharp shape, but always having one or two players, like Bognár-Bódi or Heidi Löke for periods, who contribute to a positive result, and to a secure victory.

Final result: 27 -24
