Danish handball club, Viborg HK is struggeling with huge economical problems, as the president of the club Jan Buhr says bt.dk.
” We are in a crisis situation, which has ever been so serious since I work for the club. We have a big deficit, and if it’s continued like that so we have to close the doors. We were actually out to ask for help from Viborg – theritory, from private companies. If w don’t get help, the future is not looking bright.
We have no debts and have an equity capital of 12.9 million crones. The problem is that the money is tied up in real estate.
We have to qualify in the Danish League final and take further steps in CWC. We may survive, but next season we have to start with a 25% reduced budget. ”
Cléopatre Darleux will leave the club at the end of the season and rumors are saying that players, supposed to have the highest salaries like Sanja Damnjanovic, Marit Malm Frafjord or Isabelle Gulldén may also leave (all three players are in negotiations with Larvik HK, Damnjanovic is also wanted by Romanian HCM Baia Mare).
