The last match of the Main Round could decide the winner of Group 2, when Győr met Larvik HK. Larvik arrived without Cecilie Leganger, isabel Blanco was sitting on the bench, without playing.

The first half started with  goal from Anita Görbicz, but Edin has also scored imediatelly, and the two teams was following each other closely  during the first thirty minutes, the score: 1-1 ,2-2, 3-3, 4-4, 5-5, 6-6.

Then Larvik took a slight advantage 6- 8, 7-9, 9-1o. Anja Edin had an outstanding day, scoring five times, but no one of her team-mates could help her at the same level.

When the score became 11 – 11, five minutes before the break, Győr took the lead, managed to increase the gap to two goals and to keep this, finishing 14- 12 the first part of the match.

Anita Görbicz, Eduarda Amorim and Heidi Löke was unstoppable in the front of the opponent’s goal, meanwhile Orsolya Herr showed fourteen saves between sticks (52%).

The second part of the encounter has brought the same hectic play, Győr increased the lead, then Larvik managed to close the gap, Anja Edin and Nora Mörk were the real leaders of the Norwegians.

After leading 16- 13 in the beginning, Győr received too many goals on fast counter attacks, and Herr could not reach up to her level from the previous half.

Görbicz continued to score on penalties and Katarina Bulatovic joined her in the offensive phase by scoring five goals in this part of the match and setting up Heidi Löke on the line, in a very efficient way.

In the last eight minutes Katrine Lunde has replaced Orsolya Herr in the goal and made some decisive saves in the dying minutes, providing the victory of her team and the first place of the group.

Final result: 31 – 29

Győri Audi ETO KC finished unbeaten the Group and Main Round phase in Champions League and is ready for the semifinal in Final Four, where the opponent will be FC Midtjylland from Denmark.
