The match was meant to decide the fourth participant in the Final Four of CL organised in Budapest. If guests form Sweden should defeat Vardar, so the hosts would be forced to take farewell to the CL competition.

Victory of Vardar would mean a clear qualification to the FF, meanwhile a draw would bring three  teams with seven points in this Main Round group.

The match started with a storming 6-o form Vardar’s side, Andrea Lekic leading her team in attack. After ten minutes Swedish side took the initiative and stopped Macedonian attacks, scoring five times in the same period,  6- 5, 18. minute.

Vardar pulled new players form the hat, like Allison Pineau or Julija Nikolic, helping their team to keep a slight difference until the end of the first part, which ended 11 – 9.

Inna Suslina has a great performance in the goal, saving three penalties, all against Ida Odén, the topscorer of th CL finishing without goal the first thirty minutes of this game. Jamina Roberts was outstanding in Swedish offence, Andrea Lekic netted four times as well.

In the second half started with a Swedish equalization, 11-11, even with lead for Savehof, 11- 12, but this was the only time when guests were leading. Vardar called timeout and sent Hmirova to the court, and together with Andrea Lekic and a tired Swedish team this was enough for hosts to win the game.

Supported by the home-crowd Vardar marched to the Final Four, and will meet Buducnost or Győr in the semifinal. This will be decided after tonights last match between Győr and Larvik.

Final result:  26 – 2o.
