
Qualifications for the EHF Euro 2014 from Hungary and Croatia has arrived to an end, below the last results from the groups:
Group 1:
Austria – Denmark 29 – 33 (14 – 16)
Topscorers: Katrin Engel (AUT) 8 goals and Line Jörgensen (DEN) 8 goals
Lithuania – Ukraine 25 – 36 (12 – 15)
Topscorers: Diana Satkauskaite (LTU) 5 goals and Yulia Managarova (UKR) 8 goals
Denmark – Lithuania 35 – 27 (21 – 12)
Topscorers: Line Jörgensen (DEN) 7 goals and Laima Bernativiciute (LTU) 10 goals
Ukraine – Austria 33 – 24 (17 – 10)
Topscorers: Olha Nikolayenko (UKR) 12 goals and Sonja Frey(AUT) 9 goals
Denmark qualified on the first place, Ukraine made it also to ECh after beating Austria in a crucial match by 9 goals.
Group 2:
Slovakia – France 24 – 24 (15 – 12)
Topscorers: Petra Benuskova (SVK) 5 goals and Grace Zaadi-Audrey Deroin (FRA) 4 goals each
Finland – Iceland 20 – 29 (6 – 18)
Topscorers: Lönnborg (FIN) 8 goals and Hildigunnur Einarsdottír (ISL) 6 goals
Iceland – Slovakia 30 – 28 (16 – 12)
Topscorers: Karen Knuttsdottír (ISL) 10 goals and Simona Szarkova (SVK) 10 goals
France Finland 36 – 13 (14 – 5)
Topscorers: Alexandra Lacrabére- Laura Gaudefroy (FRA) 8 goals each and Ax (FIN) 3 goals
France took the first spot of the group, meanwhile Slovakia has produced a big surprise by keeping one point at home against France, which was their EHF Euro ticket to Hungary-Croatia in december. Slovakians has qualified to the ECh after twenty years.
Group 3
Poland – Montenegro 22 – 25 (11 – 10)
Topscorers: Alina Wojtas (POL) 6 goas and Katarina Bulatovic (MNE) 8 goals
Portugal – Cech Republic 23 – 33 (9 – 14)
Topscorers: Claudia Aguira (POR) 7 goals and Iveta Luzumova (CZE) 6 goals
Czech Republic – Poland 22 – 25 (10 – 16)
Topscorers: Hana Kutlvasrova (CZE) 7 goals and Karolina Kudlacz (POL) 8 goals
Montenegro – Portugal 22 – 22 (13 – 12)
Topscorers: Djurdjina Malovic (MNE) 8 goals and Mariana Ferreira Lopes (POR) 6 goals
Montenegro has qualified to the ECh by winning this grop, meanwhile Poland made it to the Ech by winning the Czech team in Brno with three goals, and scoring more goals away (the rule has been modified recently…).
