Heidi Løke stops playing at the national team

Heidi Løke stops playing at the national team

One of the worlds best pivots stops playing for her national team. Heidi Løke has decided to take a break from the norwegian national team.

– Right now it feels like the right decision to use more time on the family. I want to be more present for my son who goes to school in Hungary. I’m still top motivated, but for a period I’ll prioritize differently, says Heidi Løke.

Heidi Løke has not decided how long the break will be, so the norwegian head coach of Norway has to prepare for the Euro 2014 without Heidi Løke in the squad.

– Heidi has been a key player in ourteam and contributed strongly to reach the good results that we’ve had the last years. We respect Heidi’s decision and hope that the break will be shortly. Now it’s up to the coach’s team to prepare for the Euro with the players that are available at the moment, the norwegian head coach Thorir Hergeirsson says

Euro 2014 in Hungary and Croatia without Heidi Løke?

A Euro 2014 for Norway in Hungary without the big star player Heidi Løke will be a championship with a special twist. Both for the norwegian national team and her hungarian club team with all the fans she got in Hungary.

If we should put our money on a bet whether she is playing or not, we would definitely put money on that she will play. Even if she’s not a part of the summer preparation with the norwegian national team.
Heidi has been a part of the national team for the last 8 years, and are certainly a garantist for success for the norwegian team. A team without Heidi Løke will be a step back, maybe even another step back if we take a closer look at the norwegian national team.
