On Sunday Champions League for women continues with four matches. On early afternon Thüringer HC hossted Podravka and Viborg met IK Savehof from Sweden in a real Scandinavian fight.

Results:

Thüringer HC –  Podravka Vegeta  33 – 20  (14 – 11)

Topscorers: Katrin Engel  and Nadja Nadgornaja (THC) 9-9 goals and Miranda Tatari (Podravka) 6 goals

Viborg HK – IK Savehof 38 – 25 (16 – 15)

Topscorers: Sanj Damnjanovic  (Viborg HK) 12  goals and Ida Odéhn and Jenny Alm (IK Savehof) 6-6 goals

After a balanced first half where Swedish team was in lead most of the time, with help of goalkeeper Johanna Bundsen. At the end of the first part of the game hosts from Viborg managed to close the gap and turn the result.

Chana Masson had a very strong performance in the goal, Sanja Damnjanovic, Maria Fisker and Mette Gravholt can also be remarked. The second half they ran from their opponents and won the match, gathering the first two points in CL groups. Final result: 38 – 25.
