Last years semifinalit from Vardar are still playing without goalkeeper Amandine Leynaud, playmaker Allison Pineau and backplayer Tatiana Khmirova, all injured, but German champions from THC had also problems to present a complet lineup to this match, they having only nine players on matchlist, two of them goalkeepers.

Croatians from Podravka started with a blackout against Buducnost, 1-7, but they managed to focus and keep the motivation, and coming back to the match eventually. The Balcan battle was won by last years runnerup, which leads the group after today.
