Head-coach András Németh has announced today officially the names of the 18 players who will start the preparation for the EURO 2014, hostd by Hungary and Croatia!
As known Anita Görbicz is pregnant, but she will be in the staff of Hungary, in order to be able ti support and help her team in ECh. Adrienn Orbán (Győr) has suffered a knee injury, that put her out the court for the next six months.
Compared to the previous two championships (EURO 2012- 3.place and WCh-2013 -8.place) the squad is quiet changed: on the left wing there are not in squad anymore Orsolya Vérten (FTC) and Melinda Vincze (DKKA), Erdősi and KOvacsics will take their places.
On lineplayer position only Szamoránsky stays constantly, there we hawe two new players in Mészáros (FTC) and Mayer FKC), Cifra is not anymore an option for the 28 squad either!
In the goal young Bíró is added to the two experienced goalkeepers, meanwhile 21 years old Planéta comes to the squad from Győr, to be the only lefthanded backplayer of the national team. Ex Győr and HYpo player, Temes could be an option on the centre back with absence of Görbicz, but rookie Tóth (from Győr”s second club )could make it to the ECh at an age of 18.
The goal of Hungarian team would be to reach one of the first six positions.
