In the opening match of the group B Norway run over Romania in the first half, Grimbsö closed the goal with a high saving percentage (50%), Romaninas were not able to score, only seven times. In the second part of the match Romania managed to play a more balanced game, but this was not enough to turn it over.
Norway took an important step on the way to their Main Round berth.
