About the first victory of his team at the EHF EURO:
“It was a very difficult match, but we knew this because all matches at European Championships are very difficult and intense.
“We passed several critical situations during the match and we are really happy for the final result. Slovakia were good in attack, but in particular they had a very aggressive defence and our team was much too imprecise when it came to our shooting.
“I think it was most important for us to win this match, so we are very happy.”
About the next match against Serbia on Wednesday:
This will be another important match for us. Much depends on the result of the match tonight (Serbia – Montenegro), but it will be important and very difficult because Serbia have a very good team.”
Dusan Poloz (SVK) – Slovakia head coach
About the match:
“We played good match, but had no luck at the end. However, we believe in the strength of our team and we show step by step that we are a really good team.”
