Th match started with Hungary ruling the game, with continous danger to the Polish goal and scorings by Szucsánszki, Tomori, Kovacsics,Triscsuk and last but not least important saves by Kiss Éva in the goal.
Poland was hold in game by Kudlacz, who scored four of her teams seven goals, and the half time result was 7 -14 for Hungary.
In the second part of the encounter hosts form Hugary increased the difference to ten goals, 10 -20 after 40 minutes of play, Tomori, Mayer, Triscsuk and Kovacsics netted again, meanwhile Poland looked shorthanded on the other side, making many mistakes, lost balls, giving the opportunity to Hungarian team for scoring easy goals.
At the middle of the second half Hungary seemed to stop, missed focus and Poland managed to reduce the gap by three goals, 14 – 21, scoring on fastcouunter attacks (Zalewska, Kulwinska, Stachowska).
András Németh called his second timeout in the match to remind his team that the match is still running.
Planéta and Mayer continued to impress by good attacking play, Poland kept the difference, but was not enough to turn the match.
Final result: 23 – 29.
