The Main Round of EURO 2014 has started with the match between Poland and Denmark.Poland has replaced  one goalkeeper, Gapska with Anna Wysokinska.

 

The first half started with Danish lead, 3 -6, but Poland fought back, and equalized at 6-6 (21.min). Kim Rasmussen’s girls took the lead, 7-6, Jan Pytlick could not tell nothing helpfull in timeout for his team, and the first half ended 9 -9.

Poland’s goalkeeper, Izabella Prudzienica made a good game, and rightback Aleksandra Zych scored three times, a player who had no playing minutes until now in this competition.Denmark’s shared the goals, Nörgaard, Gravholt, Kristiansen or S.Jörgensen netted for Scandinavians.

The second part of the game has begun with a flying Danish start, and after ten minutes of play Denmark was in lead by three, 12- 15. Sandra Toft, Maria Fisker nad Metet Gravholt netted for Danish side, meanwhile Poland seemed to struggle in attacking phase. Despite timeout called by coach Rasmussen, Polish side was not able to reduce the gap, Danes continued the effective play, and Denmark clearly defetaed Poland in the first MR game of the EURO 2014.

Final result: 19 – 28.

“I am very happy to start the Main Round with a  victory, but I have to say that we made a terrible first half.

In the second half we managed to play our play and control the game, so we won impriant points.”

” We had enough energies to  face Denmark for thirty minutes,an we followed teh tactics but in the second half we were too little phisically to be able to follow them, we ere all the time two steps behind.I am disappointed but we have to more games to prepare.”
