Poland had replaced a player before this game,playmaker Byzdra replaces leftwinger Kocela. Byzdra was injured before and could not play.
The match started with Polish goals, and surprisingly Polish lead, 5 -3, 8 -5, 10 -6, 11 – 7, 13 -8. Norway struggled to put the ball behind Wysokinska, meanwhile Norwegian goalkeepers was not able to help their team, Wojtas, Drabik, Zych or Gega was quiet effective in offensive phase.
Thorir Hergeirsson had called his second timeout after 22 minutes of play, to make some changes, mainly in defense, where Polish lineplayers had huge spaces to move on the line.
The picture of the game was not changed at all, Poland attacked, scored, Norway struggled in front of Polish defense, only combinations between Mörk and Löke was succesfull, and Emily Stang Sando took saved some shoots in the goal, where she replaced Silje Solberg.
Poland was succesfull in everything they tried this half, so they won the first half 15 -11.
The second half started with Norwegian goals and Poland was trying to keep the advantage they gained in the first part.
Nora Mörk was unstoppable, scoring and creating chances for others from the team, Silje Solberg saved some shoots, and Norway levelled the game at 18 -18, by a goal fron Nora Mörk again.
Polish team surprised Norway definitelly, by using players from their second line, player who had not played before so many minutes, like Gega, Zych, Janiszewszka, Byzdra,Wysokinska or Drabik.
Lead was taken over by Scandinavians afte 41 minutes of play, when Nora Mörk scored after a fastbreak, and Kinga Byzdra got her second two minutes suspension. in the game.
Poland was not given up, they had nothing to lose in this situation, but Norway seemed to be too fast for the tired POlish players, Scandinavians just ran from Poland, and increased the lead 22- 26, Mörk with ten goals.
It was a close game with a very good Polish play in the first part, and with an improved Norwegian team in the second where they managed to overturn the score.
