Headcoach of Hungary, András Németh has replaced a player, Bernadett Temes came into the team instead of leftwing, Ildikó Erdősi.
Norway’s starter lineup is missing leftwingers Camilla Herrem and Sanna Solberg with illness, sick is also assistent coach Mia Högdahl Hermansson. These three are not present at the match.
In Hungarian squad Tomori was struggling with illness and fever.
Match starts with Norwegian lead, but Hungary with an improving defense and good goalkeeper performance made a comeback, leveled the game at 11-11 and took the lead, then went to the break with a 15-11 lead. Tóth, Kovacsics, Bulath and Triscsuk netted for hosts, Kiss was secure in the goal, Norwgian side was led by Mörk, Löke and goalkeeper Sando.
The second half started with quick goals from both sides, hosts has been strongly suported by fans, Hungrians managed to keep the advantage.
Norway seemed to be shorthanded without leftwingers and ill players missing, but Hungary showed strong motivation and result was 21-15 after 41 minutes of play.
Hungarian attack worked well and the play was fluent, Kovacsicz, Triscsuk, Tóth, Mayer scored for hosts, Karlsson,Löke and Oftedal netted for Norway.
Thorir Hergeirsson called his second timeout, Éva Kiss continued to stop Norwegian balls in the goal, Hungary showed a fantastic spirit of fight, Hungarian crowd was on edge, Hungary was in lead 26 -21, five minutes before the final whistle.
Anita Bulath has played her best match on this ECh for Hungary, Ida Karlsson took the responsability for Norway, but Hungary was unstoppable today.
Final result: 26 – 25.
